The great Mikado (the emperor of all) has decreed that flirting is against the law in the town of Titipu. But what can you do when love is in the air? Wackiness ensues when Nanki-Poo, the not- too- bright son of the Mikado, and a narcissistic schoolgirl, Yum-Yum, fall in love with each other despite their respective engagements to the “elderly and ugly” Katisha and Ko-Ko, an ex-tailor-turned-Lord High Executioner. The Mikado brings to life some of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most popular comic characters and contains hum-worthy hits like Three Little Maids; A Wand’ring Minstrel, I; A More Humane Mikado and Here’s a How-de-Do.

Hits from Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy, Pippin & Godspell!

In the 60s and 70s, rock musicals took over the stages of Broadway beginning with the 1968 hippie inspired hit "HAIR." ROCK OPERA! will transport you back to that psychedelic age when bellbottoms were cool and the love flowed freely. This one act concert will feature an awesome ensemble of singers and five piece rock band, all performing groovy tunes like Good Morning Sunshine; I Don‘t Know How to Love Him; Pinball Wizard; Magic To Do and Day By Day.

Ernesto stands to inherit a fortune from his uncle, Don Pasquale, but only if he forsakes Norina, the woman he loves. After Ernesto refuses, the old Don decides that HE will be married and leave his fortune to his new young bride. The wily Dr. Malatesta has a wild plan to help his friend Ernesto. In true opera buffa fashion, hilarity ensues - complete with a sham marriage, a slap in the face and rampant overspending. Full of humor and poignancy, Don Pasquale's uproarious plot and sublime music combine to make it one of Gaetano Donizetti's most beloved operas. Don’t miss GLOW’s first full-length opera, sung in English!
